Carlsbad MainStreet is a Non-Profit organization whose mission is to strengthen our district as the center of our community through concentrated efforts in organization, promotion, design, and economic vitality. Our vision is to make Downtown Carlsbad a lively, vibrant place where people can shop, eat, and find entertainment on weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
Carlsbad MainStreet is home to CavernFest, Downtown Fall Festival, Progressive Dinner, Electric Light Parade, Small Business Saturday, Third Thursday, and the Carlsbad Downtown Farmers & Makers Market. Our events bring our community and visitors together and help to support our downtown economy.
As part of our mission, Carlsbad Mainstreet believes that Arts & Culture play a significant role in the economic vitality of our district. In 2018, the Pearl of the Pecos Arts & Culture District start-up project was approved by New Mexico MainStreet. We are working towards full designation for the Arts & Culture District in an effort to bring more artistic experiences to the Carlsbad MainStreet District.
